With the spring season in full-swing, calendars at DRD have been filling up swiftly with a variety of international and domestic events both inside and beyond London. From panel discussions on workplace culture and legal risk, to high-level roundtables and international gatherings, the coming weeks are set to be a dynamic and engaging period our clients and friends.
ThoughtLeaders4Disputes – Workplace Culture, DEI, and the law
On 29 April, DRD’s Rupert Bhatia and Sarah Mason will be joined by Edward Kemp KC of Matrix Chambers for an in-depth panel discussion exploring the evolving landscape of workplace culture, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), and employment law. The session will examine how organisations can navigate the legal and reputational risks associated with failing to properly address discrimination claims, while also managing the broader cultural implications. The event, hosted by ThoughtLeaders4Disputes, will be held online at 13:00 to 14:00, participants can register to attend online.
Jenner & Block – Managing risks in an era of global hearings and inquiries
Also on 29 April, DRD’s Jon McLeod will be speaking at a panel discussion, hosted by Jenner & Block London, on the complexities and consequences of when businesses are called to give evidence. Jon will be joined by Joanna Ludlam, Partner at Jenner & Block, Emily Loeb, Former Associate White House Counsel and Partner at Jenner & Block, and Matthew Hickley, Principal at Credit Advisory. The discussion promises to offer valuable insights for legal advisers, corporate affairs teams and risk professionals. Registration for the event is available online.
DRD Breakfast with Rachel Blake MP
On 8 May, DRD will be hosting a roundtable breakfast with Rachel Blake MP, Labour MP for the Cities of London and Westminster and a member of the House of Commons Treasury Select Committee. The breakfast will bring together a broad range of high-level stakeholders from different industries at a time of increasing macroeconomic uncertainty. Labour First Annual Dinner
On 20 May, DRD will be attending in strength Labour First’s annual dinner at Troia Southbank. The event promises to be an opportunity to discuss politics and socialise with key Party and industry figures. Attendees can purchase tickets on Labour First’s website. We hope to see you there.
Farrer & Co Geneva dinner with DRD
To round off the quarter, DRD will be co-hosting a dinner with Farrer & Co in Geneva on 4 June. With DRD’s Lawrence Dore and Kate Miller in attendance, the evening will bring together senior professionals from across Switzerland’s French-speaking commercial hub, including lawyers, private wealth managers, PRs and reputation advisers.
